Wild Wednesdays are are activities suitable for children aged five and over to enjoy and be creative.

Join us at Bowlees Visitor Centre on Wednesday 31 July, 10.30am to 12.30pm, for a closer look at these fascinating flying insects to appreciate their incredible patterns and interesting names. Our world would be a duller place without the beautiful colours and patterns of moths and butterflies.

Learn why they are so important for our ecosystems and what we can do to help them flourish. We will be taking part in the Big Butterfly Count, a short 15 minute survey of the population around our Visitors Centre, contributing to national data. We will finish up with a craft activity to get creative and give you something to take home to remember these magnificent creatures.

All materials and equipment will be provided. £2. Suitable for children aged 5 and over. Younger siblings also welcome but no need to book. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. There will be a short walk on public footpaths, with some uneven terrain. Please wear sturdy footwear, and clothing suitable for the weather.

Please use the Ticketsource link to book.
