The Defra-funded Farming in Protected Landscapes programme will be open for applications from July 2021. In this webinar we will explain what the programme can support, how it will work and how you can apply.

The fund will run from July 2021 to March 2024 and is part of Defra’s Agricultural Transition Plan. It has been developed by Defra with the support of a AONB and National Park staff from across the country. In the North Pennines up to £1.1M will be awarded this year, to the end of January 2022.

The programme will provide funding to farmers and land managers (and others working with them), for projects that support nature recovery, mitigate the impacts of climate change, provide opportunities for people to engage with the landscape and cultural heritage, or support nature-friendly, sustainable farm businesses.

We want to encourage strong applications from the North Pennines farming and land management community, so please join us at this webinar to find out more. In the meantime you can visit https://northpennines.org.uk/what_we_do/farming-in-protected-landscapes/

This is a free event for farmers, land managers, and other potential applicants.
