SUMMARY:Tree seed collecting
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a session of collecting hazelnuts in Teesdale which will then be grown at the Bowlees Tree and Wildflower Nursery. We will be sorting and sowing seeds in the afternoon as part of the regular nursery drop in session. \nSuitable for all ages\, children must be supervised by adult. The exact location and meeting point will be sent out at least 48 hours prior to the event. Please wear suitable footwear and outdoor clothing. \nPlease sign up using the Better Impact volunteer platform. \n

SUMMARY:Volunteer opportunity: Pennine Way boardwalk repair
DESCRIPTION:Join us to help repair two sections of boardwalk on the Pennine Way in Upper Teesdale on 27 September 10am to 2pm. It is essential to repair boardwalks as they provide people with a route across what would otherwise be a more difficult or inconvenient surface e.g. wet or soggy land. \nDue to the physical nature of the work\, a reasonable level of fitness will be required and is suitable for 16+\, (NB Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult). The session may take us past lunchtime\, so please bring a packed lunch/drinks and bring warm waterproof clothing. All PPE (personal protective equipment) will be provided\, including safety glasses\, gloves and steel toe cap boots if you need to borrow some. \nTo sign up please use the Better Impact volunteer system.  \n \n
