SUMMARY:Mining inspired pottery workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a free pottery workshop on Wednesday 10 July\, 6pm to 8pm\, to create artwork inspired by the North Pennines mining heritage. The workshop is intended for adults and being held at TCR The Hub\, Shaw Bank\, Barnard Castle DL12 8TD. \nHave you ever wondered what shaped our landscape and influenced the culture of the North Pennines? Maybe you want to learn something new in a supportive\, creative and social environment. \nJoin ceramicist\, illustrator\, and our current artist-in-residence\, Abi Baker\, to create artwork inspired by the lead and silver mining heritage. Abi will guide you through the process of making handmade ceramic tiles which will be used in the creation of a mixed media mosaic as part of the Land of Lead and Silver project. \nThis workshop is part of the 2024 Land of Lead and Silver community arts programme.
