DESCRIPTION:Our self-guided trail for the 2026 North Pennines Stargazing Festival is ‘creatures of the night’. \nCome along with your family and explore the woods around Bowlees Visitor Centre. Follow the trail around the site\, taking you on an exciting journey\, discovering the creatures of the night. \nAs you follow the trail you will pick up clues in the form of letters – spell out the word and you will receive a prize. \nPick up your instruction leaflet and answer sheet at the visitor centre – £1 per child. SUMMARY:Star camp
DESCRIPTION:Experience Star camp for a weekend of all things astronomical and beyond\, 23 to 25 October in Teesdale. The camp is perfect for novice astronomers and is great for adults and children (6+ years). Telescopes will be provided\, along with expert guidance and you are welcome to bring your own equipment too\, including cameras (with tripods) and binoculars. \nThere will also be astronomy themed talks\, solar observing and a bottle rocket competition. \nDuring the weekend Saturn will be looking amazing\, along with a super bright Jupiter and a big moon.
