If the sky is clear you’ll be outside looking up with laser pointers to identify the cosmos looking in particular\, for Saturn\, Jupiter and the constellations of Taurus\, the Seven Sisters\, and much\, much more. If it’s cloudy\, no worries we’ll use our astronomy software and big screen projection to show you a virtual image of the ‘live’ sky that night. \nBut it won’t stop there\, ACA’s creative director and artist Alan Smith will overlap with Roy to take you back through art history looking at how humankind has creatively interpreted the cosmos through some incredible artwork. Attendees will have an opportunity to remix longform recordings of the Fellfoot Forward area\, including a stunning dawn chorus collected by Fellfoot Forward artists who worked with renowned natural sound artist\, Chris Watson\, in May 2023. This could be any audio-visual or performed work (predominantly sound and music but also projected images/video\, spoken word\, and creative writing). We are open and interested in a range of creative practices at the event. \nThe day will combine presentation and demonstrations\, making and creating\, informal discussion\, listening and with plenty of space for solo and collaborative development of new work.
