SUMMARY:Nature camp weekend
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a family-friendly weekend of nature themed activities at Low Way Farm in Holwick\, Teesdale\, Saturday 31 May from 12 noon to Sunday 1 June 2pm. \nActivities will be running throughout the day and into the evening\, but you can take it at your own pace. There are options to bring your own kit and camp\, or stay in the bunkhouse. An evening meal and breakfast are provided within the ticket price. \nThe event is suitable for children 5+. All children must be supervised by a responsible adult. Due to the nature of the weekend it is not dog friendly. \nActivities on offer: \n\nRiver dipping\nWoodland walk\nBat detectors and moth trapping\nWandering through the wildflower meadows\nArts and crafts\nImmersive morning bird song walk with sound recording artist\nNature cinema\nMeet the farmer\nCommunal campfire\n\nFurther details of the above activities will be sent to attendees closer to the time. \nTickets \n\nAdmission – Adult £30 / Child £25.\nAccommodation – Camping is free\, bunk barn per person is £5.\n\nThere is camping kit available to borrow if needed (tents\, sleeping bags\, liners and mats)\, simply let us know when you are booking if you require this. \nWe would like everyone to be able to attend Nature Camp. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make this event more accessible and enjoyable for your family\, such as sensory needs. \nPlease get in touch with molly@northpennines.org.uk to find out more about access for all tickets. \nWe will be running a free minibus from Barnard Castle to Nature Camp (and returning on the Sunday) for those families that don’t have access to a car. DESCRIPTION:Come along a laid-back evening of lino printing with local artist\, Christie Love\, at The Hive in Nenthead\, 3 June\, 6pm to 8pm. \nIn this free workshop you will be learning how to cut lino into a design inspired by the unique history of Nenthead and print your own art from your designs. Everyone is welcome\, even if you’re a complete beginner. You don’t need to bring anything\, as all the supplies will be provided. \nSuitable for adults and children over the age of seven. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a family friendly 5km circular guided nature walk\, Wednesday 4 June\, 10.30am to 3pm\, around the High Helbeck estate that has recently undergone extensive nature recovery work. \nThe walk will take in waterfalls\, wading birds and black grouse in an ever-changing mosaic of habitats being managed sustainably. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing suitable for the weather. Bring a packed lunch and drinks. The walk is not suitable for dogs. \nSuggested donation £3 for adults\, £2 for children.
