SUMMARY:Family astronomy at Grassholme Observatory
DESCRIPTION:Due to popular demand\, the team at Grassholme Observatory have laid on this exclusive event to educate the little ones on all things spacey\, on Saturday 31 October 2026\, 6pm to 7.30pm. \nThis is a great way to get children interested in astronomy and science. They will enjoy an interactive talk in the classroom and then will be able to see and touch rocks from space – meteorites. A stunning interactive talk on space stuff in the purpose-built classroom and then weather permitting outside for some stargazing and peering through telescopes. \nHot chocolate and radiators are available too. A wonderful introduction to family astronomy under the dark skies of Grassholme and the North Pennines. \nBring warm clothes – it can get chilly when you are outside. The observatory\, classroom and toilets are accessible.
