SUMMARY:The scheduling of monuments and developing the ‘Missing Pieces’ project volunteer day
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Friday 24th October\, 10am to 4pm\, for a special volunteer day with Historic England. Guest speaker\, Eric Branse-Instone\, Listing Advisor from Historic England will share his expertise on scheduling industrial and lead mining sites\, give an update on the Missing Pieces Project\, and answer your questions. \nWe’re broadening our Land of Lead and Silver Project indoor working days — developing new ways to record and research our sites\, from 3D digital modelling and photography to contextual and historical work. \nWhether you have detailed knowledge or are completely new to these skills\, this event is for you. Eric will spend the full day with us\, exploring your work and sharing insights into national heritage practice. Come learn\, connect\, and get inspired. \nThis workshop is being run as part of Heritage Open Days and the National Landscape’s Land of Lead and Silver project. \nPlease sign up using the volunteer site Better Impact

SUMMARY:Stanhope Countryside Access Working Group initial training event
DESCRIPTION:Stanhope Countryside Access Working Group (SCAWG) invites you to attend an initial training event at St John’s Chapel Town Hall\, 28 October\, 10am to 2.30pm. The day is designed to equip community members across Stanhope Parish — from Frosterley to Killhope — with the skills to inspect and report on the condition of local access routes. \nEvent Details:\n• The training will include a presentation introducing key aspects of countryside access and inspection. \n• This will be followed by a short guided walk to put what we’ve discussed into practice in the field. \nThis event is hosted by the North Pennines National Landscape\, in association with Durham County Council Access and Rights of Way Team\, who are both supporting the establishment and development of SCAWG.\nJoin us to help improve and protect the paths and routes that connect our communities. \nFor more information please email adam@northpennines.org.uk \nPlease book using the link to Ticketsource
