DESCRIPTION:What stories would the River Tees tell if it could speak?\nTake part in a unique listening experience and creative workshop at Bowlees Visitor Centre exploring local stories & our connection to water. 17 August 10am – midday\, and 2pm – 4pm (booking essential) \nJoin Northern Heartlands\, artists David de la Haye and Matt Denham\, and researchers from the JUST Centre for a relaxed creative workshop exploring our connections to the rivers\, reservoirs and landscapes of Teesdale. \nWater shapes our landscapes\, our memories and our everyday lives. Through a listening activity\, conversation and a creative activity\, we’ll explore the stories\, experiences and observations that connect us to the water\, while reflecting on how our places are changing and what they mean to the people who know them best. \nThere will also be time to explore the current exhibition at Bowlees Visitor Centre\, Creatively Connected – an artist-led programme produced by Northern Heartlands as part of the wider Tees-Swale: Naturally Connected partnership. \nNo artistic experience is needed\, just curiosity and a willingness to take part. \nWhat to expect \n\nA welcoming\, small-group creative workshop\nA unique guided listening experience\nCreative activities led by professional artists\nTime to explore the exhibition at Bowlees Visitor Centre\nOpportunities to share your own stories\, memories and reflections\n\nBook your free place here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1993925296236?aff=oddtdtcreator \n  \n  \nThis workshop is primarily designed for adults and older young people who are interested in contributing to the creative activities and research.
