The traditional vintage cyanotype process is the oldest form of photography dating back to 1842. Cyanotype printing was used for botanical printing by early photographer and botanical artist\, Anna Atkins\, and Elaine uses botanical species for prints\, particularly ferns which are abundant in this area. \nThe original digital art pieces on show\, depicting Teesdale scenes\, are images transformed into ‘artlike’ pieces using modern digital tools. \nElaine works as a freelance photographer\, delivering occasional workshops in digital photography for beginners; photography walks and also cyanotype workshops.
