You will then bind the pieces of glass together and lead solder the joints to join and finish off the panel. \nYou will also learn about one of the practical uses for lead and why the presence of this metal in the North Pennines created an enormous industry in the past. Due to working with lead in this workshop please let us know at the point of booking if you are pregnant\, or suspect you may be as we will require additional health & safety precautions for you to take part. The aim is to monitor a selection of meadows pre- and post-restoration to see the impacts upon pollinator abundance\, whilst also adding vital data to a countrywide programme run by the BCT.
