DESCRIPTION:Join us at a farm near Scargill to undertake tree planting on 11 January\, 10am-3.30pm. Volunteers are welcome to leave earlier if needed. We will be planting a mix of native trees and scrub in stockproof “cactus” guards. \nAll ages are welcome\, children must be supervised by adult. Outdoor clothing to be worn and bring waterproofs. Thick gloves are beneficial for handling guards but can be provided. Please wear boots with a sturdy sole. All training and equipment will be provided. A general level of fitness is needed. SUMMARY:Fellfoot Forward hedge planting
DESCRIPTION:We are inviting families and volunteers to join us at Blunderfield Farm\, Kirkoswald\, helping to connect the landscape through planting hedges. As well as getting some fresh air and exercise\, you’ll also be helping to bolster local wildlife\, using a diverse hedge mix to boost the farm’s biodiversity as well as create vital habitat highways for wildlife. \nThe event will run from 10am to approximately 2.30pm and volunteers are welcome to join for all or part of the day. Suitable for all ages\, under 16s must be supervised by adults. \nPlease bring clothing appropriate for the day’s weather\, which is likely to require warm\, waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear. Work gloves and tools will be provided. Hot drinks and snacks will be provided but please bring lunch\, snacks and a flask for hot drinks. We’ll be working with a group of volunteers on Saturday 20 January between 10am to 4pm improving habitats as part of the Brampton 2 Zero project. \nSuitable for ages 16+\, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a guided walk at a relaxed pace on the last Saturday of each month. The walk on 27 January will start at 10.30am and finishing at approximately 12.30pm.
