The route will take in some of the highlights of Upper Teesdale\, including High Force and Low Force. \nAlong the 12 km (7 mile) route we will be explaining the environmental processes and human activities that have shaped the the North Pennines National Landscape and UNESCO Global Geopark and the attraction of people choosing to walk 268 miles along the Pennine Way. \nAs the event will be taking place outdoors\, please dress for the weather. We recommend walking boots. Bowlees Visitor Centre will be open for toilets and refreshments at the start and end of the walk. Pease bring food and drink. \nAll ages are welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult and must be able to walk or be carried as the paths are not be suitable for pushchairs).
