SUMMARY:Wildlife\, history and farming - Ecological restoration at RSPB Geltsdale
DESCRIPTION:RSPB Geltsdale are hosting a guided walk looking at how nature and agriculture and history co-exist in the English uplands. We’ll look at management for breeding waders\, black grouse\, the ‘re-wiggling’ of Howgill Beck and the Bruthwaite Forest native woodland planting scheme. \nSuitable for ages 12 years and above. DESCRIPTION:Its North Pennines NatureFest fortnight. \nEver wondered what detail you might be missing? We are setting up a pop-up viewing station where you can come and explore nature close up through the use of binoculars and telescopes\, guided by a member of the North Pennines National Landscape team. We will be at Bowlees Visitor Centre\, with equipment that can help view nature through a range of magnifying optics\, viewing detail you have perhaps not encountered before. \nNo need to book – just turn up.
