DESCRIPTION:Join staff from Kew Gardens Millennium Seed Bank for seed collecting training on Tuesday 8 September\, 12.30pm to 5pm. \nYou will learn how to identify when seeds are ready to be collected\, how to collect seeds responsibly\, how seeds are prepared and stored\, and the importance of seed collecting for conservation efforts. \nThe training will be outdoors and will involve walking in order to collect seeds from plants\, such as devil’s-bit scabious and native lady’s mantle species. \nPlease wear outdoor clothing and sturdy shoes\, and bring waterproofs. Suitable for all ages\, children must be supervised by an adult. \nSign up using the volunteer site Better Impact \n \n
