Well known
Malcolm Hockham, who runs the gardens, is one of the best known horticulturalists in the North of England. In addition to these gardens Malcolm also has a smaller private nursery (open 14 days a year) at which many rare and unusual plants are kept for propagation and collections throughout the country.
