SUMMARY:Fellfoot Forward hedge planting
DESCRIPTION:We are inviting families and volunteers to join us at Blunderfield Farm\, Kirkoswald\, helping to connect the landscape through planting hedges. As well as getting some fresh air and exercise\, you’ll also be helping to bolster local wildlife\, using a diverse hedge mix to boost the farm’s biodiversity as well as create vital habitat highways for wildlife. \nThe event will run from 10am to approximately 2.30pm and volunteers are welcome to join for all or part of the day. Suitable for all ages\, under 16s must be supervised by adults. \nPlease bring clothing appropriate for the day’s weather\, which is likely to require warm\, waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear. Work gloves and tools will be provided. Hot drinks and snacks will be provided but please bring lunch\, snacks and a flask for hot drinks. DESCRIPTION:Do you want to do something for nature\, carbon capture\, and yourself? Join us and Fellfoot Forward farmers and landowners in creating new hedges and woodland. Come along for some exercise and fun whilst helping wildlife and the planet. There will be sessions throughout the winter and the next dates are Sunday 16 (Blunderfield Farm\, Kirkoswald) and Sunday 23 January (Scale Houses). \nPlease register on our volunteer database (make sure you select the general interest Planting).
