DESCRIPTION:Discover our diverse grasslands and learn identification skills in Hallbankgate\, with Cumbria Wildlife Trust and Cumbria Biodiversity Data Centre (CBDC)\, as part of the Fellfoot Forward scheme’s Site seeing project. \nExplore grassland flora from wonderful wildflowers to an array of grasses and sedges\, as we learn how to identify and recognise key groups in a bothy-based morning workshop with Stuart Colgate from CBDC. \nLater we’ll head out for an amble around Hallbankgate quarry to put our new skills into practice\, take a close look\, and learn to record our grassland habitats. \nAll welcome. Sessions are suitable for beginners and those wishing to refresh their botanical skills.
