DESCRIPTION:This event is sold out. \nDay\, night and dawn amongst the trees and stones. \nThis relaxed daytime and one night campout is a small environmentally friendly event in a stunning dark skies area where you can listen\, make\, enjoy live performance\, music and workshops. Taking place at Into The Woods\, Glassonby\, Cumbria\, it is delivered by the North Pennines AONB Partnership with artists who create work in and about the environment. The venue is a relaxed space with camping around a large field\, find out more here. \nJoin artists\, including Jennifer Reid\, Ore\, Tim Shaw\, Jayne Dent (MeLostMe)\, Noize Choir\, and Jorge Boehringer\, for live performances and workshops on the campsite\, in St Michael and All Angels Church next door\, and a 15 minute walk away at Long Meg and Her Daughters Neolithic stone circle for a special sunset performance. \nGet creative and curious in this stunning location – making sounds with BlueJam Arts\, enjoying family friendly nature activities with Stomping Ground\, and taking short guided walks led by historians\, artists and ecologists to experience nature at night\, bird song\, heritage\, and soundscapes. Other than guide dogs/assistance dogs\, no dogs are allowed at this event. SUMMARY:Family bug hunt and pooter making
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the start of the summer holidays by joining the Fellfoot Forward team on a hunt for minibeasts\, butterflies\, bees\, and all things crawly and small. \nWe will make pooters (bug catching pots) from jam jars and use these to collect samples and have a go at identifying them together. We’ll also do some wildlife crafts and have a go at making bug houses with found materials. We’ll create a list of everything that we have found and talk about the importance of invertebrate conservation in the Fellfoot Forward scheme area\, including in your own gardens. \nParking is available on site (What3words ///extent.vertical.clotting). SUMMARY:Drumming in the Landscape
DESCRIPTION:Take part in a fun\, family drumming workshop with BlueJam Arts as part of the North Pennines AONB Partnership’s Fellfoot Forward Landscape Partnership Scheme. You’ll pick up improvisation skills and share a musical adventure into the woods (weather permitting). \nPrepare to make beats and grooves at ‘Into the Woods’ in the heart of the Eden Valley. Open to beginners\, for parents/guardians and children of all ages (children must be accompanied by an adult). Bring a picnic and your imagination\, prepare to be inspired by the landscape. \nWe are aiming for this to be an outdoor session but if the weather is poor\, we will have some indoor space. Do Bring weather appropriate clothing and footwear\, there may be a chance to take a short walk as part of the session. \nBooking is essential. Grandparents welcome too! \n\n\n\n                \n                \n\n\n
