SUMMARY:North Pennines Tourism Forum 2023: Spotlight on Fellfoot Forward
DESCRIPTION:This year the North Pennines National Landscape team is inviting tourism businesses and organisations to enjoy an immersive experience in the Fellfoot Forward scheme area. We will be highlighting ways to help your visitors discover\, enjoy\, and connect with this distinctive landscape. \nThe forum is aimed at tourism businesses in and near to the North Pennines National Landscape & UNESCO Global Geopark\, but may be of wider community interest. We are keen to see you at the event if you live or work in the Fellfoot Forward scheme area. Tickets £10 (including lunch and refreshments)\, advance booking is essential via the Ticketsource link below. \n\n\n\n                \n                \n\n\nDiscover \nDelegates will be invited to discover the settlement of Kirkoswald with a knowledgeable local guide\, experience part of a new ‘slow trail’ walking route and learn how to spot winter wildlife. \nOn top of this\, we will have an North Pennines National Landscape-wide visitor economy update\, including some exciting national news. There will also be tourism updates from our partner organisations. \nFellfoot Forward \nThe North Pennines National Landscape’s Fellfoot Forward Landscape Partnership Scheme is supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund\, and represents an ongoing partnership between organisations\, local communities\, and individuals\, to conserve\, enhance and champion this outstanding working landscape and its rural community. \nRunning north from Melmerby to Hallbankgate\, the Fellfoot Forward scheme area stretches along the Cumbrian fellside of the North Pennines National Landscape and UNESCO Global Geopark to the River Eden. \nThe scheme is in its final year and this interactive event will showcase the Fellfoot Forward area’s visitor economy activity. Delegates will find out how stories\, past and present\, can connect people to landscape\, and explore how visitors to the area can share in this unique experience. \nThe 2023 North Pennines Tourism Forum is in association with the North Pennines National Landscape’s Fellfoot Forward Landscape Partnership Scheme\, supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
