SUMMARY:A day at Hannah’s meadows
DESCRIPTION:To celebrate National Meadows Day\, we have a weekend of activities at Low Birk Hatt farm in Baldersdale on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 July\, 10am to 2pm\, (with the option of a guided walk in the meadow until 3.30pm). \nSpend a day learning about the life of Hannah Hauxwell\, a farmer who lived an extraordinary life on a remote farm in Baldersdale. Explore the farm where she lived\, see the wildflower meadows\, enjoy a theatre production illustrating her life\, and see an exhibition of items from her life from the Fitzhugh Library’s collection. \nThe day will start with a performance by Shelagh McKay Jones and Karen McDonnell\, who said: “Hannah’s story\, subject of many TV documentaries\, has had us spellbound for decades.
