DESCRIPTION:Online talk: Art and climate science \nArtist Lionel Playford discusses his experiences of collaborating with climate change scientists to produce artworks that reflect their fieldwork such as in the Atlantic Ocean and on permafrost peat bogs in Lapland. \nLionel Playford is based in the Eden Valley and North Pennines area. His fascinating work with climate change scientists has involved research institutions such as Northumbria University and the Alfred Wegener Institute in Bremerhaven\, music and literary festivals\, exhibitions and ocean expeditions and ranged from Lapland to Allendale to Cape Town. \nThis is an online event using the ZOOM platform. You will receive your link and information for logging on 24 hours before the event\, therefore booking is essential. \n\n\n\n                \n                \n\n\n  \nThis event is part of  North Pennines Art Week\, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund through the North Pennines AONB Partnership’s Earthworks project.
