SUMMARY:No Place Like Here workshop
DESCRIPTION:There’s No Place Like Here is a bespoke workshop for local residents and other interested individuals to share views and stories about the special features of the Fellfoot Forward area. What do you love about this place? What sets it apart? What do you value? \nThe day will be an opportunity to meet neighbours from across the scheme area\, explore together what makes this place special\, and add to a map charting a ‘sense of place’. Your views will contribute to a short film and also poetry which will be available for residents and businesses to share. \nThe workshop will be run by Harriet and Rob Fraser whose creative practice somewhere nowhere focuses on the nature and culture of place. Lunch\, tea\, coffee and cakes will be provided. \nProgramme: \n9.30am Arrive\, tea/coffee\n10am     Introductions\, and exploring ‘Sense of Place’\n11.15am A short walk (weather permitting)\n12pm     Lunch\n1pm       Making a mark: mapping what matters\n1.45pm  Sharing and reflections\n2.30pm Tea and coffee\, cake

SUMMARY:Family nature and art workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join local artist\, Sally Fryer\, for a fun free nature connection and art workshop at Castle Carrock in the Fellfoot Forward Landscape Partnership Scheme area. \nMeeting at 10.30am on Castle Carrock village green\, there will be a short walk through a green space to connect with the landscape and gather natural materials for. The session will continue indoors at the Watson Institute\, learning how to make a print and bring your art to life with interactive mobile making\, all with natural gathered materials. \nFamilies and all ages welcome. This is workshop has an outdoor element so bring weather appropriate clothing and footwear. All materials for the craft activity will be provided. \nPlease bring a picnic or snacks with you\, or let us know if you want one provided when booking. \nUnable to join for the walk or full session? Drop in for an express print making demo at 12.30pm. \nFunded by Brampton Area Action Group\, the Postcode Lottery\, and The National Lottery Heritage Fund. \n
