Training for agricultural contractors & land managers in the Tees-Swale area.

A  chance to learn more about SSSIs and agri-environment schemes and what to be aware of when working on these areas. The Tees-Swale naturally connected programme area has a significant amount of land designated as Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and high uptake of agri-environment schemes such as Higher Level Stewardship and Countryside Stewardship. It is therefore important that contractors are aware of the implications of working in these areas.

During this training session for agricultural contractors and land managers, a presentation will give an overview of SSSIs and agri-environment schemes and the related legislation/regulations, followed by a Q&A session.  There will be a chance to learn more about the North Pennines AONB Partnership’s Tees-Swale naturally connected programme and the opportunities for agricultural contractors to get involved.

The event is free to attend and will be run online as a Zoom meeting. If you are interested in attending please contact:
