Join Brian Ellison, stonemason with our partner, Stone Technical Services, at Kirkoswald Castle in the Fellfoot Forward area for a site tour and instruction in the use of lime mortar working on a heritage building. You will tour the tower to understand the various techniques required in the consolidation of this heritage building and you will be put to work on deep tamping and pointing. No previous experience required. Wear old clothes and strong sturdy footwear, bring working gloves, your lunch and a flask. Hard hats and high vis will be provided.
