This event is restricted to farmers, land owners and landmanagers in the Tees-Swale area and will take place in Muker, Swaledale.

Join Stuart Hedley, an experience field ecologist on a meadow plant identification session. We will focus on an introduction to a rapid monitoring method as it offers a quick way to assess changes in plants where there has been restoration or major changes to meadow management.

Stuart will cover some essential ID tips focussing on common meadow species as we work in small groups to achieve the common aim.  We do not plan to cover grasses although can demonstrate the variety at the end of the session if time allows.

If you have plants that you would like identified please bring material with you or send good quality photos in advance to Christa Nelson before the event.

Places are limited, to book or if you wold like further information please contact Christa.Nelson@yorkshiredales.org.uk

This event is delivered as part of the Tees-Swale: naturally connected programme. Tees-Swale is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and led by the North Pennines AONB Partnership in collaboration with the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority.
