Art workshop: chalk and charcoal at Bowlees

Explore the light and dark  of charcoal to record your visit to Bowlees with the help of local artist Sue Abel. Capture the landscape, the river, the trees and birds and build up your composition of strong marks on tinted paper. Use blending for soft 3D effects; use white chalk to add light and highlights. Or work on an imaginary landscape or abstract; it’s easier than you think.  Finally fix your composition so you can take it home safely without smudging.

Please come prepared to be outdoors. This event is for adults. No dogs please.
