This Grassholme Observatory event promises to be a spectacular evening of astronomy. With no Moon in the sky, look out for the stunning Milky Way, which is high overhead, and the planets Saturn, Mars and Jupiter, then use the robotic telescope to scour the skies for more jewels of the cosmos. Then it’s back into the classroom for a hot drink, more astronomy photography questions, and boundless knowledge and inspiration. Gary Fildes, experienced science communicator and astronomer, and the observatory team, will take you on a whistle stop tour of the Universe. Following this, there will be the opportunity to observe the night sky (weather permitting) with Grassholme’s array of telescopes and cameras.
Pre booking is essential: book via https://www.grassholmeobservatory.com/book/ . Tickets cost £20 (adult); £17 (concession)
