Talkin Tarn slow trail

A fully accessible circular route of 2.5km (1.5 miles) taking approximately 1 hour.

Talkin Tarn is a glacial tarn surrounded by ancient woodlands. The route circumnavigates the tarn with views over the water and the chance to see the birds, flora and fauna.

Disabled parking is available in the main car park and behind the tearoom. Accessible toilets are available. An all-terrain mobility Tramper is available at weekends. Find out more and pre-book.

This walk is classed at easy. It is mainly flat on a good hard packed path with a few short climbs and can be taken in either direction around the tarn. There are no gates or stiles.
