Art Week: your local landscapes
From 31 July to 8 August 2021 we celebrated Art Week with demonstrations, events, free art kits and more. Some of you shared your work with us and we’re featuring them here in our virtual gallery. Art Week was part of our Earthworks project, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Richard Laidler
Richard is a regular volunteer litter picker at Bowlees, Low Force and the Pennine Way towards High Force. He is also a keen photographer with a great fondness for Teesdale.
Nick Coggins
Nick was due to exhibit at Bowlees in April 2020. His work reflects a lifelong love of Teesdale and invites people to get to know the landscape, flora and fauna of this area.
Ann Whitfield
Ann was due to exhibit at Bowlees in June 2020. She draws her inspiration from the remote Northern landscape, the wild places, ravaged by time and weather.
Susanna Heath
Susanna was due to exhibit at Bowlees in May 2020. Living in Weardale, Susanna is inspired by the North Pennines landscape and she also loves to visit and paint coastal scenes. She works mainly in oils and acrylics.
