Come and join us on a cotton grass plug planting days on Saturday 18 March & Sunday 26 March. We have 12,000 common cottongrass plants to plant on degraded blanket bog on Hartley Common.

Among other benefits, peatlands are crucial for capturing and storing CO2 and holding back water. Plug planting is an important step in peatland restoration which helps to speed up revegetation and reduce erosion of bare peat.
