Join artist-in-residence, Jenny Brook, for a series of four free textile workshops inspired by the mining heritage and dramatic landscapes of the North Pennines. The course at The Hive, Nenthead, starts Sunday 1 June, 10am to 1pm, and runs each Sunday for a further three weeks, (8, 15 and 22 June).

As well as being creative, the group will focus on women’s social isolation and loneliness. All women are welcome to join and share stories, skills, and inspiration with others.

Places are limited to 10 to ensure individual guidance and plenty of space to develop your ideas during the creative, hands-on journey through textile techniques including botanical printing, mono printing, cyanotype, mark-making, embroidery, and fabric manipulation.

This explorative course offers a chance to experiment, connect, and grow your creative practice in a relaxed and welcoming environment. All materials will be provided.
