Event Series Event Series: Exploring our Milky Way

The Milky Way is one of the most visually impactful objects observable in the night sky. To see it you must have inky black night skies (which we have) and no Moon in the
sky – there’s no Moon tonight and so fingers crossed for clear skies!

At this time of year, the Milky Way hangs high overhead, and clearly visible are clusters of stars and dark nebulae that weave through the starfields of our home galaxy. Join the Grassholme Observatory team as we marvel at the visual beauty of them through our many telescopes. Observe different star colours and regions where new stars and planets are being forged.

Bring warm clothes – it can get chilly.

This event is part of the North Pennines Stargazing Festival running from 21 to 30 October 2022 – www.NorthPenninesStarFest.org.uk #NorthPennStarFest22
