Explore peatlands through art with us on Friday 31 May, 10am to 3pm at Bowlees Visitor Centre. The creative and relaxing day aims to celebrate the unique beauty and ecological importance of peatlands in the North Pennines and beyond.

The day will be split between two activities:

– In a change to the original event detail, the morning will now be spent exploring the endless possibilities of working with air-dry clay. Mould and shape what your heart desires and get inspired by the intricate patterns of bog plants.

– In the afternoon – Create cyanoprints with bog plants – Make your own bog plant composition to create a unique artwork through this fascinating photographic printing technique.

The event is intended for adults who are interested in art, peatlands and cyanotype printing. We advise to bring casual clothing as the activities might get a bit messy. £10 per person.
