Come and learn how to create radio programmes that can be broadcast on Fellfoot Radio.

Fellfoot Radio is an online radio stream sharing audio programmes produced by over 500 artists, creatives and residents, including five primary schools, from across the Fellfoot Forward area of Cumbria. It features everything from interviews, to musical performances, to field recordings of the natural landscape. It is a unique aural exploration of the landscape and the lives lived in this beautiful part of the world. You can listen here.

At this workshop you will learn:

  • More about Fellfoot Radio, and how you can get involved in sharing an audio programme that explores this landscape.
  • Practical tips and techniques on how to record a good quality interview, using only your phone. This session will be led by BBC broadcaster Helen Millican.
  • How to publish programmes using the Radio.co online radio platform.

Suitable for age 18+. No previous experience of sound recording or broadcasting is required.

A light lunch and hot drinks will be provided.

Fellfoot Radio is part of a community arts project delivered by the Fellfoot Forward Landscape Partnership Scheme and funded by Arts Council England and Westmorland and Furness Council.
The Fellfoot Forward Landscape Partnership Scheme is led by the North Pennines National Landscape and funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
