The Fellfoot Forward scheme and DigVentures are seeing underground, using geophysics to find what secrets lie at the heart of Long Meg and her daughters stone circle.

We’re inviting young people aged 12+ who live or study in Carlisle and Eden District in Cumbria to join archaeologists for a unique day out, where you’ll learn to detect buried remains inside one of the country’s most iconic stone circles.

On this half-day course, you’ll learn the basics of geophysics, put your skills into practice, contribute to real research, and carry out your own survey in an attempt to solve an all-time question: is something buried at the centre of Long Meg?
