Get involved in shaping a new geocache trail around Middleton-in-Teesdale and join us for a free, hands-on planning and set-up session on Saturday 21 March, 11.30 to 7.30pm.
This practical session is for anyone interested in helping to design, plan and establish the proposed geocache trail. Building on ideas gathered during the public consultation on 28 February, the day will focus on route planning, choosing cache locations, developing themes and learning how to safely and responsibly set up geocaches in the landscape. No prior experience of geocaching is required – guidance and support will be provided throughout.
The session will run as a flexible, workshop-style event, allowing participants to drop in for the whole day or attend for part of it, depending on interest and availability. Project staff will be on hand throughout to support discussion, planning and practical decision-making.
Please book 30 minute slots via the Ticketsource link
This event is part of the North Pennines National Landscape’s project, the Land of Lead & Silver Project’s work to celebrate and share the rich landscape, history and heritage of the Middleton-in-Teesdale area through new ways of exploring the North Pennines.
