Delivered as part of the Tees-Swale: naturally connected programme this interactive day-long outdoor workshop at Bowlees Quarry will help you get to grips with the commonest grasses. We will look at the key features of grass flower structure and vegetative features, plus investigate how to tell the differences between each grass genus, such as the bents, meadow grasses and fescues. We will look at a few sedges and rushes too. The afternoon surveys will include identifying all wildflowers, grasses, sedges and rushes within the quadrats.
This event is currently fully subscribed (the listing will be edited if spaces become available).
Tees-Swale is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and led by the North Pennines AONB Partnership in collaboration with the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority.
