This is a 10 mile walk to the summit of Little Fell in the MOD Warcop firing range. The walk is long and crosses steep, rough, unsurfaced moorland so a good level of walking fitness is required. Minimum age 14 (with accompanying adult if under 18). No dogs.

The walk will visit a seldom explored part of the North Pennines AONB and UNESCO Global Geopark with opportunities to see industrial heritage, moorland habitats and a peatland restoration site. The views on a clear day are also some of the best in Northern England.

The route will take in the 3 ‘Nuttall’ summits of Little Fell, Long Fell and Tinside Rigg.

There are no toilets or other facilities. Bring lunch, sufficient refreshments for the full day, wear sturdy footwear, bring clothing for hot and wet weather and sunscreen.
