Join us for a free two-day workshop at Nenthead Mines, Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July, 10am to 4pm, to learn how to bring the stories of the past to life through animation.

Explore the history of the region and mining in Nenthead using animation to mix with the modern day with stories of the past. We’ll capture images on a site visit and manipulate them to tell stories from the past using a combination of materials to produce the animations such as drawing, painting, photography, video, time-lapse capture and stop motion.

Animation artist, Robin Webb, will deliver the two-day workshop and show you how to make the animations as well as help to write the stories and use sounds that will come to life with images you capture and the films you create. The workshop is suitable for adults. Lunch will be provided.

We understand that transport in the North Pennines can be difficult. If you would like to attend but transport is a barrier, please email rebecca@northpennines.org.uk so that reasonable transport provisions can be arranged.

Please use the Ticketsource link to book.
