Our last talk on the importance of Sphagnum sold out very quickly, so we are running the event again on 16 March.

In this online talk, Senior Field Officer Alistair Lockett looks at Sphagnum moss and asks what all the fuss is about. This often overlooked, extraordinary moss is tackling climate change, mitigating flooding and was even used during the First World War to protect soldiers. Alistair will cover ecology, interesting facts about Sphagnum, Sphagnum and peat in the horticultural industry, and how it is being used to combat climate change. You will receive a Zoom link by email approx. 24 hours before the event.

This event is brought to you as part of the Tees-Swale: naturally connected programme, principally funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
