Stanhope Countryside Access Working Group (SCAWG) invites you to attend an initial training event at St John’s Chapel Town Hall, 28 October, 10am to 2.30pm. The day is designed to equip community members across Stanhope Parish — from Frosterley to Killhope — with the skills to inspect and report on the condition of local access routes.
Event Details:
• The training will include a presentation introducing key aspects of countryside access and inspection.
• This will be followed by a short guided walk to put what we’ve discussed into practice in the field.
This event is hosted by the North Pennines National Landscape, in association with Durham County Council Access and Rights of Way Team, who are both supporting the establishment and development of SCAWG.
Join us to help improve and protect the paths and routes that connect our communities.
