Ann Whitfield: Watercolours of the northern hills

Ann draws her inspiration from the remote Northern landscape, the wild places, ravaged by time and weather. The paintings of the North Pennines in this exhibition show some of the places she loves the most. Most are familiar to anyone who walks the hills. Some are just fragments, rocks or trees along the way, others seek to share the exhilaration of a moment in the wide empty landscape special to this area.

Ann’s exhibition runs from 17 May until 30 June 2021. There is no need to book. The exhibition is open when the Visitor Centre is, daily from 10am to 4pm.
