Wild Wednesdays are activities suitable for children aged five and over to enjoy and be creative.
Join us on a guided walk around the wooded area of Bowlees Visitor centre in search of fantastic fungi on Wednesday 30 October, 10.30am to 12.30pm.
We will learn how to identify different species of mushrooms, their edibility, toxicity and medicinal properties. Learn about the magic of the ‘Wood Wide Web’, mycelium and mycorrhizal relationships, improving your knowledge and understanding of this mystical world.
All materials and equipment will be provided. Please wear sturdy footwear, and clothing suitable for the weather. Optional to bring baskets and mushroom puns.
Suitable for children aged five plus. All children need to be accompanied by an adult. £2 per child. Younger siblings are welcome but do not need to book.
