Wild Wednesdays are are activities suitable for children aged five and over to enjoy and be creative.

Join us on a family friendly walk on Wednesday 29 May, 1pm to 2.30pm, to collect wych elm seeds around the visitors centre and bring back to our tree nursery to get your hands in the soil and sow the seeds to later be planted out in the landscape. An opportunity for families to get involved with our important work at Bowlees Tree Nursery where we are growing trees from local provenance seeds to be grown on and planted out as part of our nature recovery programme.

A short walk on public footpaths, with some uneven terrain. Wear sturdy footwear, and layers. Waterproofs advisable. All materials and equipment will be provided. £2 per child. The event is suitable for children aged 5+. Younger siblings also welcome but no need to book. All children must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. Dogs are allowed but must be on a short lead.
