Caroline Cottage is a 2 bedroom traditional cottage built in 1813 overlooking the village green. It is situated in the village of Romaldkirk near Barnard Castle in the heart of Teesdale in the Durham Dales – part of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and UNESCO Global Geopark. The small village of Romaldkirk is home to two public houses, a minutes’ walk from Caroline Cottage, one serving food to award winning standards and both offering a selection of fine ales. Just across the road you will find the stunning church of St. Romald better known as the ‘Cathedral of the Dales’. Teesdale is a walkers and cyclists paradise with many of the best routes starting from Romaldkirk itself. We offer 5- or 7-night stays and are dog friendly. Visit www.caroline-cottage.co.uk
