What we do
Fellfoot Fables virtual exhibition
This online exhibition shares people’s experience of connecting with the landscape during the Covid-19 pandemic, through words, audio and film produced by our creative writing series, Fellfoot Fables.
The project, delivered by Eden Valley based poet and novelist, Katie Hale, invites participants to look closely at their own corner of the North Pennines AONB and the Eden Valley and record their experiences as a testimony to this unique period in time.
Katie has produced a series of sessions, tailored for primary age, KS2 children and the wider community, to inspire people to produce a poem or piece of creative prose, exploring their immediate environment. Her sessions encourage participants to focus on nature, observe seasonal changes, consider what they cherish about their local landscape, delve into the stories and history they know about, as well as getting out at night to enjoy the amazing dark skies of the North Pennines. Let this exhibition inspire you to create your own Fables and share them with us. For more information on how to enter, click here.
