Join us for a session of collecting wood crane’s-bill seeds from a site in Teesdale on 20 July 1pm to 4pm.
Wood crane’s-bill is one of the key indicator species of the best species-rich upland hay meadows. Its abundance in meadows has been reducing and collecting seeds will allow us to expand the population as we grow seedlings and plant plug plants into meadows in Teesdale. All ages are welcome; children must be supervised by an adult.
As part of the Tees-Swale: Naturally Connected programme, wildflower seeds will be sown at workshops in the Autumn and the grown on into plants which can be used as part of restoring and enhancing meadows in Teesdale.
