Artists in the landscape

Artists in the landscape

As part of our North Pennines Art Week (31 July-8 August), several local artists are out and about in the landscape this week creating art as they go. Dates may also change due to bad weather.

Watching art taking shape is always fascinating, and a great way to help people enjoy the landscape around them and take a moment to stop and notice new things. We’ve commissioned some local artists who share this vision of using art to connect people with the landscape to be outdoors this week, sharing their work with the public as it takes shape and discussing it with passers by. We’ve chosen a few popular locations so if you’re out and about this week, why not stop and say hello?
